Why This Site Exists
New Mexico makes many jail, court, and corrections records available to the public, but the records are not held by one office. A person arrested in Albuquerque, Las Cruces, Farmington, Santa Fe, or a small county may first appear on a county jail roster. A person sentenced to state prison belongs in the NMCD system. Other custody types use separate public lookup tools. This site is built as a statewide organizer for those separate public-record paths.
What Is Included
The focus is practical record access for New Mexico inmate and jail information, with separate pages for the major search paths.
- Guidance for New Mexico inmate records, jail rosters and mugshots, and court records after an arrest.
- A County Directory that points to county-level inmate-population sites across New Mexico.
- A Facility Directory covering county jails, state prisons, tribal holding functions, and other detention sites documented in the statewide research.
- Plain-language context for how New Mexico custody stage affects which public-record system may contain a record.
What We Cannot Do
New Mexico Inmate Population is privately operated. It is not part of NMCD, any sheriff's office, jail, court, police department, federal agency, or immigration detention contractor.
- We cannot release, hold, move, or transfer anyone in custody.
- We cannot post bond, schedule visits, send money, or deliver messages.
- We cannot give legal advice or tell anyone how a judge will rule.
- We cannot make an official custody, charge, release, or sentence determination.
Only the office that keeps the record can confirm official custody status, charges, release dates, court events, or facility rules.
Search Partners
Some search boxes or research tools on this site may be supplied by third-party providers. Those providers set their own prices, terms, data practices, and result formats. If a visitor chooses a paid partner tool after following a link or search prompt, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the statewide reference pages available, but it does not give this site control over a partner's records, fees, or search results.
